Offering a grant supposedly with US GOVERNMENT BUT wanted money up front and I'm 80 yrs.old, don't know who these people are nor am soliciting for a .... these people call constantly and cannot understand a word they are saying due to there broken English, but everything automated then they want you to send them money. IMBECILES!!
I just got a call from the same number. I asked what number I could call back and she told me to call the finance department at 202-455-5280 and give them my personal ID number, which she gave me. I called the number, "The subscriber you have called is unavailable." Click. Ridiculous. Also, a silence before a woman with a very thick accent and broken English before she even started speaking supposedly calling from Washington, DC and offering me $8,500 in Government Grant Money that I never had to pay back. PLEASE!
I recieved couple of calls from this number, when calling back, a message came to inform me that this is a global number,&that I need a calling card because this area is not covered by my plan !!!
which is very writes,as (202) is Washingtin&District if Columbia's area code!!&that it's not a global number .
Earlier posts have said the callers have told them to call back at 202-455-5280, and there are posts on the thread for that number at http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-202-455-5280
The message could be spoofed by the outgoing message of a voice mail, or it could be that any incoming call to the equipment at this number is forwarded to another number that is outside the USA. We don't know yet if 202-792-3235 is a spoofed number that is actually used by a legitimate company.
