Several phone calls saying that it is a medical specialist calling about our recent Dr. Appt.A heavily accented male and or female asking - by name- for my husband. Very noisy connection.
about 2 PM on Nov. 6, I received a call from a company later determined to be Diabetic Supplies. The phone # for them was 202-800-5667. This call came in on my cell and only my doctor, the pharmacy and the hospital have this #. The speaker had a foreign accent and was asking how many times I tested for high glucose levels. Speaker obviously knew not only my cell #, but that I am a diabetic. I told them that I didn't want to speak to them and would talk to my Dr.
I very much resent the intrusion on my privacy and the fact that these individuals had access to my cell and
medical records.
I get these calls 20-25 times each and every day; even on saturdays and sundays!!!! They all talk with a foreign accent and they want to offer me a free meter. Are you kidding?????? I have a meter with freestyle lite and my insurance enables me to get the test strips for almost nothing. Why would I want to switch???? They want information from me, which I'm not going to give them. They also know that I went to the doctor and when--I asked my doctor if he had given them any information and he said no. Don't know where their info comes from, and I do wish they would leave me alone. I just got my caller ID back today and my landline phones are now cut off. We have the landlines so we can have high speed internet; otherwise, they would be disconnected on a permanent basis!!!!!
