A few weeks ago, My elderly father received this call on his cell phone and it got him very upset thinking he had done something wrong and I assured him he did not. I received the same call today and played along. He does give a name and badge id number. I asked him to confirm my adjusted gross income from my tax return so I could verify he was with the IRS. He told me he couldn't give me that information. He tried to verify my address, which was incorrect. He then changed his story from I owed the IRS money to the IRS owed me money. When I asked him to send me a letter, he asked me what color paper I wanted it on. What an idiot
They also called me on phone number, 202-800-9099. Told me I needed to send two thousand dollars, and only had 2 hours, because a cop was going to be at my house in 2 hours to arrest me, because of owing the IRS money, LOL, what a freak, I played along, for a bit, but he knew at one point I knew he was a fraud, and just hung up on me, I called back, and he refuses to answer, lol
