I received a phone call from this number and a man named Marcus Brown. He instructed me that he was from the IRS and I am being indicted for tax fraud and tax evasion. He stated that my job will be notified and my wages garnished.
This person has and then usual voice pattern he talks like Jamaican very very broken English and he was he's called me twice today October 7, 2014 the second time he told me that I must talk to him because there's some fraud activity and I need to talk to him in the legal department. He never said what kind of legal department
I recieved calls from this same number!! He say he works for the IRS n want me to pay 2300.00 or I will have to go to court n may recieve jail time if I don't pay!!! They have been calling me for a week n wen I call back the line is busy as well but manage to get thru today but wen I called back to get more info the line is busy again!!!!
There is a widespread IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers on both Canadian and USA residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.
