My wife and i both got called on our separate cell phones and different carriers. I called and got no longer in service. She got a second call today asked if this was the IRS they said yes. My wife then asked for badge number and they hung up.
I just received a call from +20 2 823-7909 and the country that came up on my iPhone said Egypt. At first I thought it might be from a new client. Then the message was a robot voice saying the IRS was filing lawsuit against me. It said to call:
202-823-7909 which is the same number. Obviously, it didn't make any sense.
To even place this type of call, there are formalities that are missing.
It's clearly a SCAM. Please avoid giving your personal information.
