I have gotten three calls from this number in the last hour. Due to my work, I always pick up calls, even from unknown numbers. This one is always dead silent on the other end. No clicking, no background noise, no electronic sounds. After about 15 seconds, it hangs up. Out of curiosity, and in case it was someone I needed to talk to for work, I called it back and was informed by an automated voice that the call could not connect.
received call 2 times today. first no message. 2nd message saying they were with IRS and call back immediately to avoid further legal action. Had a call like this a week ago from different number, same thing. I called that number back and got this Robert Wine (Wise?). wouldn't let me speak, said I had to listen to every word. Threatened with wage garnishment, seized bank accounts and sheriff would be to arrest me in 30 minutes for back taxes to 2003 and not filing of taxes for that amount of time. I knew immediately that this was not correct. I file my taxes every year, I know exactly what I owe in taxes and am even on a payment plan with the IRS. I also know that no one can sue without following procedures and building a case of documentation - that he didn't have. Lastly, I know IRS doesn't have people arrested on spot like he said. Besides, if I was being sued, it would be the attorney office contacting not the IRS. Needless to say, this Robert hung up after I told him the facts I know. Thought I'd never hear from them again, but guess I was wrong. I've reported the other number to the FBI and IRS and FCC. I'm going to report this number as well.

This Robert Wine called me yesterday and he told me that I had back taxes from 2009 to 2014 then he proceeds to tell me that I will be arrested in 30 minutes.Robert Wine wouldn't also let me speak I couldn't even get in a word he kept telling me that I had to pay a thousand dollars to cancel an arrest warrant then he asks me for 500 and a debit card just to cancel the arrest warrant.I found out that you cannot cancel an arrest warrant.It is a federal offens to pretend to be an irs agent so he just kept on harassing me and wouldn't let me hang up the phone to take care of my three year old daughter.
I got the same thing about the IRS has issued a warrant for my arrest and if I don't call that number back ASAP local law enforcement will be here within minutes! It was an automated message and when I called them back (to basically collect as much Intel as I could for the DoD and local Federal Field Offices) all it did was give me the busy signal.
Normally the Feds or any other law enforcement doesn't give you warning before they raid your house!!?? lol! I thought it was funny yet kinda disturbing, but the "warning" thing was where these morons screwed up. It gives a bad guy two options, haul [***] or lock and load!
For several days now I keep getting these stupid phone call claiming they are the IRS and I am being arrested. I called back once and an Officer Brown answered, spoke very poor English, and I told him that I know for a fact that the IRS does not make these kind of calls and hung up on him. HOwever these calls keep coming on an almost hourly and daily basis. I thought I had blocked them, but then they are using a different 202. Area code number. HOw can this be stopped?
