Just received a call from a woman from 202.846 9050 saying they were Irs with badge number that I did not catch saying I would be arrested if I did not call them back
Received a phone message from Officer Nikki Johnson, batch number 9165 US Treasury Dept. The call was definitely an automated message. The caller claimed I would be arrested if I did not return the call.
Voicemail of a recording claiming tax fraud in my name by US Treasury Dpt. Claimed if I did not return the call it would go to federal and threatened me being arrested. Also something about going before a magistrate judge, and jury...Scam!
Rec'd an automated call saying they were calling about "tax fraud", etc. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the IRS hardly EVER, IF EVER, CALLS YOU!!, rather they send an official notice by mail. As I am currently on extension and haven't even filed my last year's return.... how would anyone know about a return that wasn't even filed? Anyway, it didn't sound right and I'm happy I ran across this site. I just replayed this message, and they're trying to be cute, i.e. The first thing the women's voice recording said was, "My batch number is 9165..." and that if I didn't respond to the call that I would be hauled before an IRS or Federal court. SHAME ON PEOPLE LIKE THIS!
