I just received a phone call from 202-864-2535. Don't answer it. It's a scam big time. It's the same message about pay back taxes money you owe.They say they are from Washington DC, don't believe them.....
I have gotten my 3rd one today, it is a robo call - coming from 3 different numbers. It is very upsetting. I just reported it to the police department & blocking the calls. This is awful.
received 2 calls from 202-864-1122 saying IRS was filing a lawsuit against you and to call this number immediately. Have received this call twice. I was home both times, let the caller go to voicemail, and then listened to the message. I knew I didn't owe any money to the IRS!!! I also knew it sounded bizarre that the IRS would send a phone message instead of a letter that you had to sign for to notify you of something so serious. Yet, my son's name is the same as my husbands!! But he just complained to me how the took all his child tax credit because he owed government student loans!! so I then knew he was filing!! so it couldn't be him!! I didn't think he wouldn't file, but with this call I was thinking of all sorts of stuff! SO I decided to look on the IRS site and see if the phone number shows up anywhere. Then I entered scams....BINGO!!! and I'm going to sleep better now! and continue to not answer the phone. :) :)
We have received five calls today, four from this number and one from a different one. All reference a law suit being filed by the IRS. BS! What I really wish is that the FCC would crack down on these a**holes.
Left message stating Irs fileing lawsuit 202-864-1122. Called me twice on 9/10/15. Number did not ring through on Saturday and busy today, glad I looked it up. Thank you!
