I just received a phone call from 202-864-2535. Don't answer it. It's a scam big time. It's the same message about pay back taxes money you owe.They say they are from Washington DC, don't believe them.....
I'm getting 2-3 calls a day from 202-864-1122 the caller ID says Washington, DC
The recorded message says that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and this is my last warning, please call back immediately
I received a call from this No.and it is a Scam unless the IRS is outsourcing on India or Pakistan. The caller indicated that I been sued by IRS and I need to go to their web page and fulfill all the info requested under stiff penalties if I don't . I reply to the caller that as far as I was concern he could go and.............up.
They just called. Message states (very poorly with lots of pauses LOL) "The reason......for this call...the IRS is filing lawsuits against........you. To find out more information on this case file call.......blah, blah, blah".
The caller ID shows: "WASH DC CALL".
Be tough people. Do not respond. The IRS will only contact you via US Mail if and only if there is something wrong. And even if they did send me something in the mail I would wait until the 2nd notice before I called the number on the correspondence to look into it. Be safe out there.
BAHAHAHA...guess what? While I was typing this they called me again from 202-864-1311 and left a similar message. Unbelievable.
