Some one called my dad said her name was Lynn Wilson and was from the Federal Gaming and Control Board in Washington DC.Told my dad he had won 475000 and to call an 800# in Las Vegas.When my dad called back he was given a claim # for"his money" and was told to call Lynn Wilson with that #.Oddly enough the man on the phone told my dad that his name was Mark Wilson(when asked who he was speaking with).My dad asked why he had to call Lynn Wilson back with the claim # and was told that he would have to "insure his registration".My dad asked the man 3 times how much it would cost to insure the registration and never received a decent answer,only that he would have to call back Lynn Wilson.When he called her back and gave her the claim # she told him that he had to pay 1% of his winnings to insure his registration.Luckily I was there when he got the call because I told him it was a scam(which he told Ms Wilson) and did not go any further
Same thing happened to me. Got a name Lynn Wilson saying she was for the Federal Gaming and Control Board in Washington. Gave the same kind of deal. Supposedly won the same amount of cash. Needed secure the win by securing 1% down. What a scam
