I received two calls from two different numbers within a hour of each other. Both purported to be with the IRS and said they were preparing to sue us for fraudulent activity. They were both on my voice mail. They sounded like pre-recorded messages, and as others noted, the quality was so poor that it was hard to understand. Surely there is a government entity that we could report to that would pursue them?
The numbers from which the calls originated came up as from Washington, DC Numbers are 202-864-1214 and 360-464-1123.
I received the same 2 calls from the same 2 numbers within an hour and reported it to the IRS as fraud. You can go on IRS.gov and report the scam phone calls you received. The IRS never calls people or texts them, so I knew it was phony right away. I feel bad for people who were scared by these creeps.
I received the same message from the automated female voice, but the number showed 360-464-1123. After doing the reverse look-up it showed the #'s you received calls from. Just fifteen minutes prior to her, I received one from a male automated voice also doing the IRS bit. That number was 360-347-1797 and the look-up showed Rochester, WA and already has complaints for the IRS scam.
This scam company keeps calling my cell phone stating there is a warrant for my arrest from the IRS. do they really think that people are that stupid? The IRS doesn't have your phone number and they mail info if they need something. Jerks!!
