I received a similar message, almost identical to the one you stated. Did they return your call and did you report that to the IRS? I am reporting this to IRS.

My call wasn't from 202-864-1298. It was from another number telling me to call this number. NO accents. Very official sounding American voices. Here's the story.
Received a recorded message from 719-201-9296 advising me that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me for failure to respond to their notices about fraudulent tax preparation on my part. Was told to call 202-864-1298 where my call was answered by "Lexi Brown, IRS Agent # NL1045", who informs me I owe $4,986.73! I am told that I cannot mail money; that in two days IRS representatives will be at my house, will confiscate and cancel my driver's license (huh?) take my car(s) and all my belongings, and will take possession of my home.
Even if I were inclined to believe this was legitimate, I would have known something was wrong since they had me listed as "Patti Harada". I'm listed differently with the IRS.
How odd that she hung up when I told her I was going to report her. Anyway, PLEASE tell everybody you know. It's the only way we are going to stop these freaks!
I got a call and an automated voicemail from an Antiguilla no. 264-304-5930 asking for a call back to 202-864-1298. The reason for the call was identified as a "final notice from the IRS to file a lawsuit".
