Just got the call from the "IRS" asking that I call them immediately. I had gotten a similar call last month. I did call back just to play with them a bit. Gave them a totally wrong name and phone number and they fell for it. Don't feel like playing this time. I wish there was "scammer" amongst all the choice this site gives us.
Called saying a lawsuit had been filed against me but didn't say what it was about. Said to have my attorney call back and gave a case number. Just a bogus BS scam.
This A Scam.. IRS Officer... I Don't Owe Nothing To The IRS a matter of Fact They Owe Me. They Just Left Me A Cheezy VM. This Number Is Not Listed No Where On IRS Director... Scam Disgrace... They should Be Reported...
Got a call from this number, I let it go to voicemail. The voicemail stated there has been a criminal lawsuit against me and I should call the number back or have my lawyer call them back immediately. Weird why would a criminal case be filed against me in a state I do not live in nor have I ever lived in. I did not call back and don't plan on it.
I received an automated call from this number. It was a recording announcing that a criminal charge has been leveled against me and that either I or my attorney should call back immediately. If I don't comply, the consequences fall on me.
Or course this is a prank or a scam. Does anyone doubt that?
