They just keep calling with variations of the same number. I wonder how they're getting beyond the national,do not call registry? I have my number listed. Vant understand them either. Makes no sense.
This one left a message... some Eastern INDIAN woman I couldn't understand threatening me for money. That I NEEDED To return the call immediately or face jail time. THIS IS A PRIVATE CELL PHONE NUMBER. THIS IS BS!

Yea, this is a scam. I received a phone last year around this time telling me that an online loan company had taken out a case against me and I had a certain amount of time to pay or they would send the cops to my job to pick me up and take me to jail. Well, I didn't know anything about these scams at the time and since I had gotten a loan from the company they claimed to represent, these people really had me scared and I paid them $650.00 from a greendot card. and they said they would stop the legal proceedings. Well guess, what they called me back within an hour telling me that I paid too late and unfortunately, they could not stop the proceedings unless I could come up with some more money. I called consumer protection and was told about the scams going on and that they could not have me arrested, because these online loans are illegal in NC. So when they called me again after that I told they will not get another dime out of me and they can go ahead and send the police if they wanted to and I will be at my job waiting on them. They have me called anymore. Block them from your phone or you can call them and tell them that you know who they are and you will send the authorities after them.
I got a call and told them that if they call again I will call the police. She said that my WIFE was HER GIRLFRIEND and called me a [***], so I simply said my wife is married and she hung up.
Caller with strong accent claimed to work for the federal government, said I was randomly selected to receive a grant of 10,200$ that was not taxed & that I didn't have to pay back, asked what I would use the money for & made sure to tell me not to use it for drugs or illegal activity since it was coming from the federal government then gave me another phone number(202)738-1597 to call because he was not authorized to release the funds, when I spoke with the person @ the number I was given, he said his name was Calvin foster & had the same accent as the first guy who originally called me, he then told me that the funds were coming from the New York federal reserve bank & because it was such a large amount that I would need to pay a fee of 250.00 which was going to be refunded back to me so the total I was receiving was 10,450.00, I said " how do I know I'm not just getting robbed for 250.00$" he said "don't worry I'll b on the phone with you the whole time, & once you send the 250.00 I can give you the # to pick up your 10,450.$ from western union & if you don't get your 10,450 then u can jus go back to 7eleven & cancel the transaction..." Then he said "head down to 7eleven & call me back when your in the parking lot" I figured it was a scam so I waited bout 1/2 an hour and called Calvin back & told him I didn't have access to 250$ cause I just had a child & wasn't working he said "ok try to come up with the $$ & call me on Monday "
