I've gotten these calls over the last 4 months or so. The caller is from Accra, Ghana, and probably a member of one of the groups of scammer criminals, if not the boss. He calls from a cell phone, but somehow links to this number. Key in "Nigerian scams" in your Google search bar, and you'll be surprised what you learn. I think Ghana may now be the scam (scum) capital of the world now. Of course, they operate from all over the world, and have been documented by one web site as operating out of Atlanta, Canada, and one of our Northern states, also Spain and China. They are highly organized groups, can wreck your computers, and most likely are related to terrorism activities, if not personal greed. Some of the gimmicks mentioned above in the comments are examples of the scams they perpetrate on people. Only in the last several days has "CCT" shown on my caller ID. Earlier when I was researching it, I would get a computer voice-activated recording which said "CCT", and then would disconnect. Also, have received several calls from other "Call Center" phone numbers listed in Georgia and Alabama.
3:20 AM...dead of sleep...phone rings, no one's there. Grateful it wasn't the horrific news one expects at that time, but really angry at the senseless intrusion. caller ID says 3:18A CCT 203-740-5523 OCT 10
It was 10:30 am when the phone rang, no one left a message. I knew all of my bills are paid. I knew it was not a creditor. I called back and they said Call Center Technologies. Evidently it's a bunch of weirdos.
I received a call at 11:58am. I was not home and did not answer, they hung up on my voice mail and it called them back.. A live person answered the phone and just kept saying "hello", "hello", "hello" and then after the tenth hello they hung up.
