so check this out - just got a call from this number, and it was like a party-line... there was one spanish speaking woman, a young girl, an adult male, two other women and myself all saying hello, at the same time... curious myself, i began to investigate and ask who the other people were, how they came to be on this phone call, and if it they were businesses or homes... from what i could gather, we were all called at the same time at residential numbers and somehow connected in a conference call of sorts. once i suspected a scam, i started telling everyone on the line to look up the # online and report it to the FCC.... that's when we all got disconnected. so here i am, walking the walking.... next item to do on my 'to do' list: google FCC :)
Just got a call from this number, the lady could barely speak english and claimed to be working for "Spark Energy' a company which provides batural gas to PG&E.
blah blah etc how I was gonna save all this money, would I please just grab my PG&E bill and confirm some account information for them. Total Scam.
This girl called and said PG&E wants you to save 4.78 and 4.32 on your gas and electric. I said I don't electric just gas with that company. How does it work? I asked. What work? Give me all your information and then everything will be clear to you, she responded. Are you from PG&E? I asked, she said yes.
It seems like she was reading a script and no experience on the phone. Probably pulled out of a welfare line.
