Called back.....no answer. These calls are so aggravating. WHY are they allowed to call people on the Do Not Call List? I just don't answer unfamiliar numbers but have children who travel and worry it might be them. BUT have decided if it's important, they will leave a message.
Get someone from an area not affected to dial 3way to who you are calling. My friend in another state did that for me during the outbreak. I was able to keep in touch with my family and more importantly check on my daughter.
I thought I had kept a landline also but just recently found that it is a digital line so I lose it when I lose internet access. This really stinks because it is way too expensive to get a real landline hooked up and I am on oxygen 24/7 and have no way to call the power company if my power goes out except my cell that sometimes barely works.
You can report power outages on line. Both my PC and iPad work for quite a while after the power goes out. If you have a medical need please call your electric company to explain your situation. Many people need back-up power sources as well. Where I live this service is called Life Line and electric companies will work with you as this is not just inconvenient, it is a matter of life and death.
