Called back.....no answer. These calls are so aggravating. WHY are they allowed to call people on the Do Not Call List? I just don't answer unfamiliar numbers but have children who travel and worry it might be them. BUT have decided if it's important, they will leave a message.
just because some people have gotten rid of landlines doesn't mean everyone else did. I, personally, have crappy reception but my iPhone is a lifeline for me as I live alone. So it's a comfort to know I can't lose my "main phone (landline)" & calls won't be dropped a lot. Not everyone can have only a cell phone. Just give it some thought & you'll see some reason why some people keep a landline. I prefer to have only ONE phone but until I have good reception & find a way to never drop my iPhone into some liquid that'll destroy &/or keep it attached to me so I won't lose it, lol, I'm keeping my landline.
Just where were you in 2011? Cell phone towers are MUCH stronger than telephone pole. No towers were "removed" and I never lost my signal after the event you are referring to.
Internet/cable based phone lines (VOIP) are the worse. Once the power goes out, you're dead in the water even if the lines are still up. Is THAT what you are thinking of?
