Just got the same call last night (at 5:50pm) - robot-sounding voice - saying that the IRS is suing me and that there is a "non-bailable arrest warrant" out for me. Did not bother to call back, because the IRS will not try to arrest you without visiting in-person first.
Total scam.
It's definitely a scam. After they left me a message I had a 2 hr drive home. So I just kept calling them back about 50 times to annoy them, saying all kinds of crap to them. I tried ordering food, all sorts of vulgarity, etc. just to waste there time since I had plenty. Same 3 or 4 people answer. I had them cursing at me, LOL. They also call on 509-590-2354. They finally stopped answering.
This is the second time that I have been called by this number, got called about 6 months ago. They threatened me with a lawsuit by IRS against me; and potential for warrant for my arrest, not necessarily to be put in jail, because of this lawsuit. It is definitely a scam! They slur some words which makes part of the message hard to understand. I refuse to call the number back, because it is usually a busy signal. These people are evil!
Phone call received at 5:30 pm on 2/24 threading arrest from IRS and telling me to call 206-201-2282. Called it and was told I owed almost 3 grand in back taxes and wanted to know if I wanted to resolve it out of court as the Attorney General was giving me a break because I always paid my taxes on time and never filed for bankruptcy. He told me that to resolve the problem was for me to go to Walmart and purchase a money gram since they could not accept cash or credit card payment. He also said that while I drive there I had to remain in contact with him via cell phone. I kept this jerk tied up on the phone for an hour while he kept telling me of all the dire consequences of not making the payment or ending the call. This butt heads operation sounded and smelled so bad that it was unbelievable that I finally hung up on him and waited out side drinking a beer and waiting for the local Sheriff to come and arrest me as he had promised me would happen. I guess the Sheriff had better things to do since he never showed up and I ran out of beer. The con said his name was Agent Adam Jones and he sounded like he was of Indian accent and was difficult to understand most of the time. Jail time would not be sufficient punishment for this group of preying mantis human insects.
