A woman with indian accent called today and told me that my computer was involved in illegal activities.
I said: "Do not tell me you are from Microsoft", she said "No I'm not from Microsoft, but Microsoft has signed your ip address over to our company". I told her that my computer is scanned from a security company frequently and hung up. Why are this people not taken out of business?
called 5/11/15 11:44am It was JUDY, JUDY, JUDY...ASKED IF i WAS ...asked which JUDY..she said I have a computer became frustrated and she hung up
she wanted to get into my computer
Judy called me too! Judy Scott, who has an English father and an Asian mother. Really, lady, Judy? Sheesh.
I asked her if she knew so much about my computer why she couldn't send an email. I'll be nice when she calls back. I wasted so much of her time already. I doubt she'll call back. By the way, Ebase is a real company. I wonder if they know these criminals are using their name in vain.
Caller ID identified this caller only by its number. I didn't answer. An automated message was left stating "This is IRS" (not "This is the IRS" - bad English). It told me they were filing a law suit against me, and to call them immediately at 202-738-1919. It was also weird because of the way they said the number to call. They said "202738.1919" (202738 point 1919), like they were unfamiliar with American phone numbers. I also got this same message from 718-745-5293 (the Bronx in New York).
This person called and said he was from microsoft and wanted to know if I was the primary user of my computer. I said it was none of his business and he rudely told me it was his business. I asked for his name, Rick Brown, at 206-237-0127 and he kept asking if I got the correct spelling of his name and the correct number and wanted me to repeat it. I hung up.
Who are these people? I know they are not from Microsoft, but how do I get them to stop calling me?
They hung up on me when I asked for specific information about them. This is NOT a legitimate company. They spoke with foreign accents with the attempt to scam victims.
