Just got a call from these guys. Here's the info I was able to find out
The guy I spoke to is "john mcdonald" (heavy accent, so mcdonald might not be accurate, but the whole name is probably fake anyway). Calling from "Debt Free Life". Says that they get phone numbers from banks, financial institutions, etc. Yes they do observe the do not call list. Well, my # has been on there for well over a year if not 2. Thanked me and will add my # to their do not call list.
The guy was cordial enough and actually answered some of my questions, which hardly any tele-marketer will do, but it's still irritating...
It was nice talking to you earlier today.
Thanks a lot for extending your support to us. We want to bust this fake company that is using our website name to commit fraud with people. I request everyone to get this companies physical address so that we can file a complaint with FTC and Cyber Crime department. We have already reported the matter to Denver Police.

I've reported many scammers and those who solicit and don't follow Do Not Call rules to FCC and I get follow-up letters saying they can't do anything about it.
