The (206) 496-0950 number displays as Ind Sur Group, and independent Survey Company. This is the Political season and there are lots of these folks working to influence the political opinion of Americans. Make no mistake please, these Political Polls are not interested in your opinion, they only want to influence your opinion so you'll vote the way they want to to vote. And, the Don Not Call list will not work here as Political calls are exempt from the to DNC by law (read the fine print and you'd know that). How do you stop these calls, Best way is unplug your phone. Otherwise, block the number if you can. If not, look at the caller ID when the phone rings and then ignore the call.
So far these are the numbers this supposed "Independent Survey Group" is calling from. I have a caller ID box that allows me to block them, but they keep changing the number they are calling from, so I guess I'll just have to block them continuously (my box holds 500+ numbers so I'm assuming they don't have that many extensions). I'm tempted to answer one day and if a live person answers to give them a taste of an air horn.
To anyone getting those annoying calls that show as IND SUR GROUP ... remember that this is a political election year so even if your phone# is listed on the DO NOT CALL registry the rules don't apply to companies like this.
If you go to google and search for Independent Survey Group and once on the site click on the REMOVAL tab you can put your phone # in and it should remove you from their list. I am not promising anything and it won't stop other companies and won't help if they are using other company names but at least you don't feel powerless that you cannot do anything to stop them. FYI they have started calling cell phones as well so be sure to put in all the phone #'s you want to block them from calling. Short of this the only way to stop this is if enough people start raising hell and can get some local focus to put a stop to this practice!!!
