if you call any number back - guess what - you just gave them the fact that your phone number is real and they will sell that information to other buyers - DO NOT CALL BACK - JUST REPORT THE NUMBER
Best info yet. If it is an 800 (866,877,888 etc) number or an out of your area code number, or an "unknown name, unknown number" on the caller ID, DON'T answer. If you have caller blocking on your phone USE IT! That's what it's there for.
The scams are great out there today. I was "scammed" by someone(s) stealing 7 pages off our website, changing the name (but not the address?) adding many many pixs to make him look like an international entrepreneur, then going to dating websites (LDS, Christian Singles) falling madly in love with the mid 50’s lonely women, sending flowers and gifts to them and by the 4th-5th week making all kinds of promises of “life together” and in the 6th week discovering that his Personal Assistant has landed up in jail in Nigeria and “Oh, Honey can I borrow 5K-50K to bail him out?” We found out that “he” had 2 more websites used for the same purpose stolen from other companies. How do I know this? Because not 1, but 6 of these lonely ladies were smart enough (thru Mr Google – the Smartest Man in the world) to find our bonified website and discover the truth. Talk about crushed ladies:(
Bottom line: you can’t be too careful in today’s age of electronics. If you don't know who it is, don't answer the phone!!
