I live in Ontario Canada and got a call from 206-496-0962 today. They left a msg on the machine saying that it was Mrs. McLeod from CRM and it was an urgent phone call in regards to accout # and they left an account number and too call back at 1-855-787-3835. I am female and they asked for a male with a first name that starts with the same letter as mine but had my maiden name. Does anyone know if this is a scam or should I call the number?
Possibly a scam. Don't give any information of anykind until you check that number they called from and ask them a hundred questions to be sure they are legitimate. Again be careful and if they don't give an answer right away and try to avoid the question just hang up.
They call and call like the message I left above, I just pick up the phone and say nothing and leave it off the hook for 5-15 minutes, the call backs end shortly after that, may not work all the time but at least I don't have to be bothered as much.
