I received four calls from this number today. When it became apparent I wasn't going to cooperate he called me an [***], then asked me how old I was, then told me I was sexy. I hung up on him. He called back, I pretended I was an answering machine, and screamed BEEP into the phone before hanging up. Then I blocked this number. Not that it helps, these same morons have called me from another number in the past.
Same story as everyone else. Two calls, the first they hung up, an hour later they called back. Said my PC had been sending them error messages. I said what PC, he said my home PC. I told him that was odd since I have a Mac and I doubt my work PC would be sending anyone a message except my company's IT department. I told him I was on the no call list and never to call me again. I despise these scammers
Received the same call but was told his name was Roger Clark. When I asked him for his I.D. # and a number I could call him back he gave the phone to his partner in crime. I laughed and hung up the phone.
Got same call, first one from (949)-000-7676. Ten minutes later same call. (206)-548-7569. First call, guy told me I ask too many questions and I laugh and got disconnected. Second call, told him I would contact mircosoft myself.
2 calls already today. I've gotten calls from this number at least twice, sometimes 3 times, daily for the past week. I just look at my caller ID and don't answer. I don't think the name showing up on caller idea is the actual name of the calling company.
I called my state's commerce commission about the many unsolicited called I've received. Their advice was not to answer calls from unknown numbers/callers because answering gives the crooks the false impression that you might be swayed to buy into their schemes if they contact you often enough. I've gotten several calls from one crooked company that actually spoofed my own name and phone number to call me. Clever! These crooks should all be put in jail to rot
They're still at it. Got a call from 206-548-7569. This guy had such a strong Indian accent I could barely understand him - but I got the gist when he said I should turn my computer on so he could fix it - "at no cost to you." I decided to have some fun and told him that he called a police station and we have his number, and soon the police will come to his house and arrest him. He started to get very excited and demanded to know why so I told him that the police were on the way and he would go to jail. Then I hung up. Surprise - within a minute his "supervisor" called - this guy had less accent, and wanted to know what the problem was, he asked for my name and the name of my police station so I said "Sargent Anderson from Kansas City Police" he waited a couple seconds and then told me that I'm a fraud, there is no Sgt Anderson at the Kansas City Police. I cracked up laughing and hung up - imagine a fraud calling ME a fraud!
