I received four calls from this number today. When it became apparent I wasn't going to cooperate he called me an [***], then asked me how old I was, then told me I was sexy. I hung up on him. He called back, I pretended I was an answering machine, and screamed BEEP into the phone before hanging up. Then I blocked this number. Not that it helps, these same morons have called me from another number in the past.
Last week my computer was scammed and every excel and word file was modified so I cant open anything I created for years. Found one I could open and it told me my files were secretly encoded and gave me an email and said money would be required to fix my files. I sent an email and got a response back, they wanted $500 to fix it. Today got this call asking for my wife to talk to her about the computer (which is in the shop). I said,,, I took the computer to the shop, she did not, do you want her work number? ( i thought this was the computer repair store calling ). She hung up on me and they wont answer the phone. The computer repair store said they have received at least five calls today, these folks are scam artists and may say they work for Microsoft. THEY ARE CROOKS AND CRIMINALS.
Same as others. Call came in this morning at 6:49am and woke my wife & I up. I thought it was the Vet Home calling about my Dad so wife answered before verbal caller ID came on. Female on other end with accent says our PC was sending messages and warning alerts. Wife hangs up and says it was the second call from same number: 206-54-7569. I was going to call them back but now that I've seen all these messages & warnings (pun intended), I decided not to waste my time.
Just called again: 206-548-7569 (left off the 8 on my last report). When I answered the phone I could hear a batch of people talking in the background - some in English and some in a language I couldn't recognize. I said hello again and finally some guy name John came on speaking fairly clear English but with an Indian accent. I exchange a few pleasantries then told him I had reported the number to the FCC and they'd better stop doing what they are doing. He was obviously startled and just said OK, then I hung up. In retrospect I should have let him go through his spiel first before telling him I had already reported the number. Maybe next time.
