Same as others, sometimes I mess with them and keep them busy as long as possible and others I just tell them I do not even have a computer, they are simply scam fools.
Received call from this number also uses a 971 code, he claims he is from microsoft and will shut my computer down if I dont comply. He is very persistent, rude and pushy. He wants to be given access to your computer to point out " called problems he has identified and when refused he becomes pushy and rude. This guy needs to be located and stopped. It appears he is using a scrambler system. He is selling some type of anti virus software, cannot recall name presently
I have received several calls from this number 206 555-1000 and when I callback it goes to Google Information.
I just answered the phone and spoke with someone that said there company was Orbit Solutions and that they could see my IP address and that someone hacked my computer and please turn my computer on. I told him I was already on my computer and told him I was looking him up and that they were a scam company
He adamantly denied this so I told him if he is authorized by Microsoft then his service must be free. He stated they charge a nominal charge.
I told him never to call me again and hung up.
Don’t freak out people. They cannot do anything to you as long as you don’t give them your personal information nor go to any websites they instruct you to go.
They called me today too and said that I have been approved for a loan. I realized right away this is a scam and decided to play a long a little.
I was advised to go on a website to complete the application as they do not want me to give out any personal information over the phone. Of course you do not want to go to any suspicious website as you don’t know how they can track what’s on your computer. However, I’ll play along for a bit.. Will see how long they will last. Usually they get really mad eventually.
About a year ago these guys would call you and tell you that you owe for a loan that you never paid back and you will be arrested within a few days if you don’t pay. Now they came up with another idea… These little busy bees in India :-)
Got a call from "Private Caller". Picked it up and said hello. Heard the delay, click and Hello for the auto dialer so hung up.
10 seconds later, got a call from this number and got the same Hello from the other end with the same accent. He must have figured out he had a live line and called back. I hung up again and programmed my phone to block this number.
This guy called us this mornming with the same story about error reports and demanded access to our computers to "fix" the problem. He is possibly an Eastern Indian as he has a foreign accent.. I want this guy stopped and this operation shut down.
