Got a call from this number; man with Indian or Pakistani(?) accent who spoke excellent English.  Said he was calling from Microsoft Windows about viruses detected on my computer.  To verify he said he had my computer's license number which only I and Microsoft would have.  Wanted to help me eradicate the viruses since none of the standard programs (he rattled off about 6) could do it.  Wanted me to log on, etc. and he would walk me through the process.  When I asked where he was calling from he said Rialto CA.  Well I knew that this number is not a CA area code so I put him off with my headache.  Also he would not give me a telephone number I could call to verify his call was legitimate. When my husband returned he told me that he'd been warned of this scam by a member of the local computer club.
