I just got a call from these people telling me that I am getting a government grant and to go pick it up at Walmart. But first that want me to call 202 684 6332 for more instructions.
I always check unknown #s at 800notes.com .. I knew not to answer or call this # back... answering these calls or worse yet calling them back is about the worst thing you can do!
I got the same call today. I have a friend that works for the D.O.D. He was telling me that you cannot know where these calls are coming from because they are pinging them off of an internet service and using Voip protocols and things like that. I find it crappy that the Do Not Call Registry can't shut these people down. If it was somebody dangerous, they would find them within minutes if they wanted to. Also, you got to watch for people calling that claim they are from Microsoft and you recently got updates with a virus. Do yourself a favor and call Microsoft back for technical support if needed. They don't sit and call you for free when you have a problem with their software.
