I just got a call from these people telling me that I am getting a government grant and to go pick it up at Walmart. But first that want me to call 202 684 6332 for more instructions.
This time it was "Scott" from "Account services". I gave them two phony numbers. After I was placed on hold for the second number, a "supervisor" came on line to ask if I was making up numbers. I said yes, and I would keep doing it every time they call. Usually they hang up at this point, but she got extremely angry, threatened to call every day, and started a stream of heated abuse -- which, I must say, I kept up from my end, explaining that many of us are competing to see who can keep wasting the most of their time. I made it to only 3 seconds short of 15 minutes.
