You do know that when you "press 1" you are validating your phone number for further scams to use? Really. The first clue should be when the number answers and right away gives the option to be removed BEFORE anything else. No company name, no other options.
Just received a call from this number. No business name disclosed, but they claimed the warranty was about to run out on my car. I asked to speak to a representative. She asked if I could verify some information. Before she could ask me anything, I asked what the company was, or what this warranty was for. She hung up immediately without saying anything. This definitely seems to be a scam to get personal info.
I called back and was asked if I'd like to be placed on a "do not call" list. I selected the "yes" option.
I got the same message about a car warranty. It came to my work phone so I was inclined to answer. I just purchased a no warranty vehicle a couple weeks ago so it really had me thinking. I did verbally respond with a no and the call ended immediately.
