They said they were the IRS and there is a law suited filed against me. I immediately called my accountant.

Just got a call from this number in CA with a recorded message saying they're the IRS and there's a lawsuit against me after several attempts to contact me and this will be the final attempt. First time this # has ever called me. When I called back there is nothing but a busy signal. Looked # up online so thank you for those of you who also posted about this bogus caller. Definitely eems like a scam and so far no one has attempted to call me back.
I received a call and voicemail from this number stating I had a law suit against me, but when I redialed the number it was busy several times. They do not say who brought up the lawsuit, just that I need to call them back immediately. I am guessing this is a scam number. What a bunch of jerks...
Claimed to be IRS in Washington DC, couldn't tell me what the DC stood for or how many states are in the USA. Had my full name associated with my phone number which is easily sold around so don't be fooled by them knowing your name and phone number. They give a fake name a fake officer badge number and recite all this crap stating there is a fake lawsuit and a warrant for my arrest and I'm going to jail. Haha. Told them if there is a warrant I better go to the police station right away and they didn't know what to say to that. Finally they said if I pay it they will take away the arrest warrant. The actual IRS has a page on their website about fake scammers. These fake scammers follow all of the warnings and information that the actual IRS says they do or will like there fake badge number and threats of jail and arrests.
