Received a call from 209-782-8675 which said Local on the ID. I answered (big mistake) and when I got a person on the line, he asked if I was calling to reduce my credit card rate. I told him No I responding to a call I received and that unless he could give me a rate better than 0% (because I pay my cards on time) he hung up on me. Made my day but not his.
LOCAL appeared in caller id. Landline is only used for DSL otherwise the cord would have been cut years ago. It is truly a shame when elected LOSERS can't implement an effective NO CALL LIST system with draconian penalties to deter scammers, but why would natural born con artists (politicians) frown on fellow miscreants. I heard telephone scams are a billion buck industry.
