Scam artists from overseas - claiming to be from "inside the US".
This woman called me with an Indian accent saying she is calling from the "Claims Department and have a grant for you for $1,000. I said I don't believe you and take me off your list" ALSO getting calls from a "loan company" 786-629-9096
Told me they were the US Government Grants department and that I had been randomly selected to receive a grant. When I told them I wasn't interested and wanted to have my number removed they disconnected the call.
these people call 6-8 times a day, sometimes never saying a word and hang up. when they do call it is a foreign accent. my plan is to place the phone speaker in front of my stereo speakers and hit max volume when they call from now on!
Just called me stating that I am being awarded a $7000 grant from the government for always paying my taxes, filing my taxes, not having a criminal record, and not ever filing bankruptcy. Can't speak hardly any English. When I went off on him about how our Government wouldn't just give out money for something to do he just kept saying, "Excuse me." That tells me that they don't speak/understand enough English to even really be making these calls. I hung up after saying that this is definitely a scam and if you think you are going to get money out of me you are soooo wrong because I don't have any for you to take! My accounts are empty! HAHAHAHAHA! I love these calls. It is a huge stress reliever! Take my day out on someone who thinks they can get something from me without me knowing it! Nice Try!!!
