I received a similar call. I didn't catch the man's name or the company he said he was working for as his accent was too thick to understand. He said I had a criminal action lawsuit that had been filed against me on behalf of First/Fast Cash Loans. He stated that apparently I had received a loan in my bank account and had failed to pay it back. I immediately called my bank and confirmed that I had not received any such deposit from this company and also confirmed each of my transactions on that account. This gentleman asked for my legal representation's contact information as well. Don't know what their angle is and at this point, I don't really care. I have confirmed everything on my part and I know that this is some sort of scam. If you receive a call from this number, don't even bother returning the call. It is nothing but a headache and a huge waste of time.
I have gotten calls from this number repeatedly. Sometimes it's John Smith, some times Lieutenant Markwood. All with thick middle eastern accents. I don't know who they are or why they're calling me. I figured it was a scam as soon as he asked for legal representation, doesn't even sound near legit.
they keep on calling my job stating I received a cash loan to my bank. when I never did. they ask you for your info. Do not give them info they are fraud. The guy can't even speak english. I never ever applied for a cash loan. They don't even give you the company name. When i asked them questions they hung up the phone.
They have called me several times and I let me voicemail pick it up and it was a middle eastern accent man and I really didn't catch to much of what he was saying.
I just got off the phone with an Fed Atty in Ca. who told me that he had gotten several calls regarding this scam. I too recieved call from this number and did not owe the money. He (Robert Smith) said I would be served with papers the next day, arrested and carted to calif. the day after that. I was freaked! I called my bank and confirmed no such loan. I got all my bank stmts for the year to prove such. The man had a middle eastern accent, said he was from the Federal department and was the senior atty. when I called him back to tell him I had proof it was a mistake, he told me to defend myself in court and hung up on me. The loan place he mentioned was 1st cash/Fast cash. the other number he gave me to verfiy the debt was: 714-855-2593. this place couldn't tell me the name of who I owed. This is a scam.
