call went south real fast
Person calling had a thick accent. I asked to be removed from their call list and he asked why. I then asked for the supervisor and he told me he was the supervisor. I told him to f#*@ off and he told me to f#*@ off. I just set the phone down and eventually he hung up.

I received a call from this number a lady with heavy accent and told me they are from the Federal Government and that I received a grant of $9000. I told them I've never applied for a grant how they have my number, they gave me a money card number and told me to call 209 853-4937 to collect my grant. DO NOT CALL THAT NUMBER THIS IS SCAM.
No one give money just because. I wish there is a way we can make all this hackers and scammers disappear from the face of the earth. BAD PEOPLE

Same Story
I got a call from 209-975-7969 and spoke to a guy with also a very thick accent and typical sales cold caller script: saying lots of 'appealing' and leading information, and prompting me to say 'ok' at the right times. How I knew it was a scam, was because this person, and another person that was put on the line, had MEMORIZED the same exact script with no variation. Any person simply providing information would have their own spin on the same information: tone, pitch, different uses of contractions, etc. But the same story for me: got the call, from the Federal Grant Department or the United States Federacy Dept or US Federal Dept ( this was the only thing they kept changing up-- the name of the branch of the gov they work for! !) and said I qualified for a $9K grant for simply being a good citizen who paid my bills on time and did not have a criminal record. I can use the money on anything I want except for bad things. First of all the government does not simply hand thousands of dollars out for good behavior. If this were the case, there would be a lot less people with criminal records, so this is a ridiculous sales pitch. Second, I made 2 different people explain the concept to me multiple times at different parts of the day. When I made the first guy thoroughly nervous, he handed me off to a second guy. The second guy also told me I just talked to some name, who was different than the name I got 5 minutes before. You really don't know the name of the guy who just handed you the phone? I said if you simply want to give me information, and I don't need to give you anything then give me a website I can go to to look this up. He got nervous, but gave me one eventually. He kept trying to get my address and zip code and I kept refusing. He then walked me through a legitimate gov grant site (that I already knew of) and told me where to find this 'independent living grant'. I looked and... big surprize.. it WAS NOT THERE. When I told him I couldn't find it, he got increasingly aggitated because he knew I was also playing games with him, and he kept repeating where to look. I said it's not there. Let me look this site up. He then panicked and said: "What site are you going to? What site are you looking at?" After I did not respond.. he got a bit desperate & said: "Tell me what site you are looking at please"... After 12 minutes of talking in the morning, and 15 in the afternoon, I thoroughly wasted their time. This made me happy because that's 2 less people they can call today. I can't get them arrested, but I can at least makes their scaming job hell. Small victory.

I received a call from 209 975-7969. When I answered - no one said anything. The call was then disconnected.

I attempted to call the number back - but got error message "number not assigned."
