You can now add your cell phone number to the do not call list registery and if they call you they will be fined for every call they make to you. Here is the link for Canada but don't knw the usa link:
Putting youre name on the DNC actually gives you more of these calles. Part of the law is that telemarketers have to buy the list to know who not to call. Well, off shore telemarketers actually buy the list to use as a call list since the law only applies within Canada. I put my #s on the DNC and got more than ever before.
From Canada also and up to 3 of these calls a day on my cell phone. I agree with you on adding to the DNC so I added this number to my contact list and set the ring to "no ring." No question it's very annoying and intrusive.
