I just got this also........saying he was with Micotech.....saying that my computer had downloaded a malicious virus and was sending them warning signals.
Just a note that the calls are now circulating under the "Fog Horn - You've Won a Trip" scam. They are information brokers. I am an Information Technologist, so I feel it is necessary to explain who they are and why they do this. These Information Brokers use Information Technology such as Voice Over Internet Protocol to spoof numbers and/or use temporary numbers. The reason they use
a recording is so their system will automatically take any 'takers' and patch them through to one of their crew. These 'Information Brokers' seek your personal identity and as much information about you as possible. The Brokers get paid for all the info they collect and sell to bidders or to 3rd party advertisement companies like the ones online. Anytime you sign in to Facebook, web applications, applications on your smart phone, email accounts, or web surfing, your information is being tracked as well. You will be registered on servers across the world wide web, and your cookies and tracking cookies and websites you visited hold your name and any other personal details you gave. Remember your IP can be traced very easily to your Service Provider and they have ways with Service Providers who sell your information to Information Brokers and companies. Once an information Broker knows your Name, sex, age, address location, and hopefully nothing else, your information is forfit, as you have no rights in a virtual world like on the internet. Anytime you visit a website, whether random or not, you will have advertisements shown to you on those pages, that is proof of how the system works. For example: if you are a 25 yr old Male, and you click on dating websites and lets say the Goldex exchange, well now your information is compiled and no matter which websites you go to you will have been automatically advertised to, by your interests etc, so your random visited web pages will have advertisements on buying gold and women from Russia. All this in order to sell you things. Isn't Capitalism great? Welcome to the 21st Century - Where Technology is your Master! So what can you do, take all the advice others have said such as block them with your free smart phone apps, however your information was signed away to them so now they know your personal information kept or typed on your phone, question is: Will they use it and to what unseen effect? I say American and Canadian rights are trumped by the almighty dollar and when you dig there is always "No oversight", put pressure on your politicians and more importantly learn how to protect yourself and your private data online and with technology, since it is far too easy to hurt others in the pursuit of wealth.

It was a foreign speaking man this time. Our gov't officals should surely investigate this number and fine them the $11,000. per call they have made to "Do Not Call" customers. That will fix their a**, lol..
I received a telephone call from this number advising that there have been break ins in my area and wanting to know that I should consider security alarm protection. I asked for their telephone number and she [ broken english ] hung up immediately
