Problem #1: Foreign shills just cannot lie consistently, nor do they understand US/Canada debt, & criminal law. The stories they use are meant to sound good, but that's all. It's always "Something bad's going to happen to you! Act now! Don't think, just act!"
I just received a call from Justin Blackwell from this number saying I have a criminal investagation on my social security number. Scam Scam Scam. I will not return the call this is outrageous. You don't have a criminal anything against a social security number it would be the person. UGH
What should you do? First of all, know that your callers are nothing but a bunch of low-life, offshore scammers - they can't do zip to you. Secondly, if you have any information about them - company name, names they used and phone number - please DO report them to the FTC - www.ftc.gov, the FBI - www.fbi.gov, and your state's Attorney General - you can find your state AG here - www.naag.org. Also read up on and learn your rights as a consumer - debt is civil, not criminal, so even if you did default on a loan, you are NOT going to be arrested and/or jailed!
Since the caller had your information, you should look into signing up for identity theft protection. Also contact at least one of the three credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion) and your bank(s) and ask them to place fraud alerts on all your accounts.

Called our business requesting to speak to a former employee. Told the gentleman multiple times that he did not work here and to call him at home. He than began using the F-word and getting upset because the guy didn't work here anymore. We've blocked the number.
