I recieved a call yesterday on my cell stating I needed to call this number or I would be subject to arrest. Made me very upset but my husband realized anything from the IRS would come in letter form first so I checked on internet and found out it was a scam.
Received a call from 210-418-5238, the guy on the phone sounded like he was from India and there were several other sounds in the background like more calls were being made for other people. Some guy on the phone stated his name was Wilson and he would pay for me to send my wife to him in Texas. He said he would give me money first $10 then $100 I cussed him out repeatedly and he thought it was a joke. I hung up the phone with him and call 911 and gave them the info. He actually gave me an address in Texas to send my wife to what a joke.911 stated that he caused me more times they will file a report but this number is obviously spoofed.
This # called my house...man with a thick Indian accent claimed he was Robin Wilson from IRS, provided fake badge #. He told me that I had been audited and needed to stay on the line as I was being transferred to the senior attorney. The next man told me that our call was being recorded by the IRS and local authorities...I laughed and told him I knew about this scam. He hung up, however he called back over 30x's that day using foul language and threatening me. He left 2 threatening messages on my voicemail...in which he told me I had f***ed with the wrong man and my children would be orphans. I had to contact the local police and IRS website to report the incident. The craziest part is that he managed to get into my voicemail and delete those messages as well as my outgoing greeting and all other messages in my mailbox. He then began calling from several different #'s including my own home #. CRAZY!! BE CAREFUL!!
Man with an Indian accent just called my house. He said he was from the IRS. Did not give his name at first, but then when I asked he said it was Wilson James. He proceeded to tell me that I owed the IRS $1900+ in back taxes from 2008-2012 and that my assets were being frozen until the matter was resolved. Told me to get a voucher for the money and give him the numbers to the money. He wanted my cell phone number too, but I did not give it to him. While I was on the phone, my daughter was on the internet researching the number he was calling from and stumbled upon this site. THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! He kept threatening me that I would go to jail if I did not send the money within 24 hours. When I told him I knew this was a scam he said he was transferring me to someone else with more authority. I was never connected and the phone call ended. AGAIN...PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM! Many thanks to this site for giving me a heads up on these scumbags!

•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
got 2 messages from this "irs" person threatening that I will have the "cops" come to my house and arrest me within 24 hours. Well I have been an Investigator for 25 years-wrong lady to mess with.
Please don't fall for this scam. Block the number on your phone.
