They have been calling me non stop for the past three days! I finally picked up after 4 consecutive calls in a row, told the woman I was at work and hung up. I have one item on my credit report that I am currently paying off. I feel as if I owed anyone, it would be on my credit report. I'm not falling for the BS.
I am receiving many, many calls from this number both at my office and on my cell phone. It is a scam! The message, if you care to hear it, advises that their office is handling a "case." Of course, this is BS. I have blocked the number on my cell phone, but they just call back on a new line.
Called and asked for my sister that passed away 10 years ago. How do these people get their information???? Blows my mind that this crap is still legal.
It's not legal. They are attempting to extort money from you for a debt you do not owe. They hope that they will reach someone who will panic at the thought of legal action being taken against them and pay whatever sum they are told is owed without question. If you get to that point in the conversation they'll tell you you have to send the money via Western Union, which means they get the cash and scram without getting caught.
They are scammers please tape record them and bring the police no your rights. They will try to scare people lying about jail it all a lie you can get go to jail. Warn others about these scamers Google these scam and numbers and always ask out siders
