They called with an inquiry ambiguous enough to lead me to believe they represented my current auto insurance carrier, but when I mentioned USAA and asked them to call my wife, as she has the day off, they abruptly hung up after apologizing "for bothering" me.
The first time I got a call from this number I was asked if I was xxxx xxxxxx and I told them I wasn't and had never heard of that person. I answered the same question from the same number until I quit answering. I believe this is a shared number used by many junk debt collectors and skip tracing companies as the original creditor gave up trying to contact the former owner of my cell number but I think I will be getting collection calls forever with this corrupt system.
