I also got a call from Justin but the number was a little different 210-774-4194..Same exact pitch.. Told me A warrent was going to be issued for my arrest if I didn't pay them for an old cash advance for 350 dollars.. And that I owe them 750.. And if I didn't pay with a bebt card over the phone today a warrent would be issued right away. .When I began to ask questions he became offend and told me either I pay or go to jail.I felt like a common criminal And was very upset..The fear of being arrested caused me to suffer an anxiety attack. .I couldn't believe what I was hearing..
You spoke to a THIEF who was trying to extort money from you. You can NOT be arrested for an unpaid loan AND if you were to receive a warrant, you would not be told in advance. Hope you are feeling better & know the threat will not happen to you.

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
Just received the same call, but it was Reginald Woods and the number was 440-345-7151 - a level 3 VoiP in Cleveland, OH. Same spiel as in previous posts. Go ahead, threaten me with legal action. I paid back my original payday loan 3 years ago, and have not taken one out since, have the documents to prove it. I'm not falling for this scam, and urge you not to let them cause you grief.
901-444-3524 received call at Home from a Baxter was all I could understand - nasty, slimy sounding individual that said there is a pending case and he is calling from-pre-trial interventions. I don't owe anyone anything or I have not done anything wrong so I found it hard to believe that someone was calling me. I called my attorney because it said attorney of record to call. My attorney called and they said it was a wrong number. It is just wrong that someone like this is allowed to walk around - I hope they can look at themselves in the mirror at night. How stupid do they think people are anyway??? I would not be paying anything without proof that I owe.
