I received a a call from this number answered it and I heard it hang up. So I called it back said it was Microsoft, the BS about the problems my computer is having. Asked how he got my info etc etc. it was the IP story they use. I told him I was on do not call list and not to call so he hung up. I had nothing better do do on a Saturday so decided to call him back to see how much time I could waste of his day. Asked why he hung up on me I was going to make sure he wasn't going to call me back. So for the fun off it I called it back about 4 more times and it was disconnected. Waited a couple of minutes he answered again I asked if this was Microsoft he said no he was going to be at my house in 30 minutes and made sexual threats to me.
I am getting phone calls from this number that just hangs up each time. We have also seen reports that this number is calling people claiming to be Microsoft telling people their computers are infected. DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING THAT YOU ARE TOLD TO BY ANY SOURCE LIKE THIS IT IS DANGEROUS. Take your Computer to a LOcal Store to confirm what the person on the phone told you. The second option is to get a trusted Friend or their VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE STUDENT that is very good with computers to check it out, The Reason not to download nothing from someone on the phone tells you to is most likely it is a Virus you would be installing and it would require a CODE to get your computer unlocked. This is the Games to get money that people are playing around with peoples computers today.
I would check your Google Account to see if anyone recently accessed it other than yourself.
My Google Account was recently hacked and then I started receiving phone calls from this number.
Still receiving repeated calls from this number, even after I have told them repeatedly, and very forcefully, to stop calling me. Caller claims to be from Microsoft, but he was unable to communicate well. He had an accent - maybe from India or it's environs.
