The jail phone system nowadays uses various phone companies to handle the calls the inmates want to make. Which is why for those of you in Ohio are getting the calls from TX. It's just the company the jail is using. No scam, just an inmate who has your number.
I have received 7 calls from the 210-900-1850 number in the past 3 days. II is not a legitimate phone number. I am also get "jail calls" from another number - 866-847-1251. Never is an inmate's name given. The new number does not even identify the state where the call is originating from! Careful!!! don't press any numbers!
Seeing that you all say Summit county jail makes sense as our grand son is in there.....I believe all the jails now use some sort of service that you actually have to pay for. I'm still not going to answer it :)
I'm over 40 times so far with this number. Still a Summit county jail, I've never pressed one to accept but it is getting ridiculous. Multiple times it calls and calls and calls before giving up for the day and starts all over the next day! The one time I did listen to it, the recording says its a woman and I can barely understand her when she speaks her name. Police report now.
