I got a phone call from a unknown name and a number 212-077-1180. It was forgien lady could barely understand her, but she said that my computer was downloading a virus and I didnt even no it, she then asked me if i was in front of my computer and i said yes, then asked who she was with again. I then hung up. I recevied a call a while back from a strange number and it was a big time scam.
An Indian guy with this NYC number called warning me that my computer is infected, and he asked me "get in front of my computer" which worried me that they may somehow use the camera if a willing targeted person agreed to follow the caller's request. Certainly a scary scam. The police should track this guy.
got a call from these indian guys. i never thought it was a scam, they sounded really convincing! thanks for this website. i just hung up. i hope they wont call back!
oh i'm so tired of these guys calling and warning me my computer was infected and they had to repair it - otherwise it would keep on sending infected data.. THIS IS BIG TIME SCAM
