Recorded message from a credit report company. I wish spamers stop calling my patient number. Someday it will interfere with health of my patients and I have to sue the caller.
The caller appeared as United States Government which is a total lie. Anytime you try to call back to 212-337-3136, it rings busy. In this case the caller actually is not a Washington D. C. crook. BEWARE BEWARE
Sounds like this scam has been very active today. Many of the reports are from the past few hours.
It doesn't matter if you're on the U.S. government's do-not-call list or if you report them to the FCC. The callers are probably not located in the USA at all, and they would therefore be out of the reach of US law. You also can't rely on the actual caller ID that appears on your phone, since those can be spoofed very easily by scammers.
