These guys are thieves. They hesitate and then give fake first names. I asked for his number and he said the number on my caller ID. When I told him it did not show up he hung up. I wish there is a way to nab these rogues.
Called my cellular phone. Did not leave a message. Callbacks just give a busy signal. Web searches show complaints that (212) 504-9291 is a spammer, a telemarketer, and a credit card solicitor.
I got a call from this number and picked it up to hear a recording asking me if I'd like a reduced interest rate on my credit card. It did not identify the caller or the card company so it's obviously bogus.
