A woman with an accent wanted to "send information" (white paper) to a specific IT manager. She denied soliciting, but I explained that imparting data was just that (by our company's standards, anyway). Her voice trailed off and the line dropped, as sometimes happens with these calls.
This number has called me 4 times in the past 4 hours. I didn't pick up assuming it's a sales call, and they did not leave any messages. A web search found that the number may be related to bestbrandsworldwide.com, which is a business directory. They are likely trying to farm information about the people they call to add to the directory. Which could result in more calls from other businesses.
