Jean, I wouldn't worry about the threats. These people are far, far away. They're not even in this country. But if it makes you feel better, call your local police department.
"Paul" called again today, this time at 7:10 a.m. I have a police siren as a ringtone on my cell phone, so I played it really loud a couple of times. He hung up.
We are continually harassed by these folks and their transparent scam. And they have not put us on the do not call list as we've requested every time they call. It's an invasion of our personal space and the fact that these scammers continue is an abomination.
Got a call at 7:50am woke me up as I am ill and taking meds woman named Ruth said she was from Microsoft and said someone was getting into my computer unfortunately I believed her and allow ed her access. Plz be aware this is a scam.
I received a call this morning (Saturday 8:52). Women (named Lilia), strated she was calling in regard to my Windows PC problem. I kindly stopped her and told her I was on the do not call list, and to remove me. She again stared the same exact script again. I overheard the same scrip being said in the background by at leat 2 others. I stopper her and asked for her manager. After a pause, a woman answered (it was her again disquising her voice) I again stopped her and told her to take my name off her list, and that I fix PC's as part as my business. She again repeated her script. I gain stoped her and asked for her not to call me and the I am reporting this issue to the FCC. She stated she was going to call me every day and hung up.
